Big Hill Springs Provincial Park
This family day use area shockingly has 3 good problems of different character. The first two walls are jug riddled on bomber rock, the third seems like granite, smooth and overhung. A few years passed and Marcus Norman has established a V9 on this bulge called Fat Slapper.
To get there from Calgary, take the #1A west and about half way to Cochrane, turn north onto #766 for 10kms. At a four-way, turn left(west) on #567 and drive 5km. Turn left at signage for the park and go 2km to the big lot. Cross the road and walk the trail along the creek to the first wall-200m from the car. Traverse this fun wall. Next, hike up the trail to a 1m high rockwall. Take path to the creek. Rio Bravo(V0) traverses above the creek. Third rock, go down main trail a few minutes. Pass steep uphill, walk into the woods instead. Try Fat Slapper or just traverse the top left to right (V1) of the Fat Slapper Boulder.
