FAs- Watson family and friends
After seeing the topo a number of years ago then climbing on it myself I would say this is a climbed out face with every line and variation covered by the Watsons – 18 routes in total!. The rock is slabby in nature but has some neat almost volcanic features riddling it. Despite it being kept in fully natural state it would be just a bit better had there been bolted top anchors to make it more user friendly -but maybe that is not the idea. Please leave it in it’s natural state and do what the developers did and found natural anchors, makes your 10 minute hike worth the fun!
You can get to the crag in less than ten minutes from the car with ease. Wear a helmet as the ledges above the cliff are loose. Some trees can be used for top-roping.
Drive to Highwood House junction and park in the ditch on the south side of the road. Th dark slab is very easily seen above the road to the east. Find your fastest B-line to it.
