Hike to the Native Trees
To get to the Native Trees, park as for King Creek and start hiking with all the other folk.
Continue past the Grandaddy Bum Tree along the way – a large deformed tree with a huge burl – to where the canyon walls come to an end and the lush hillsides open up to you. Walk up the steep trail above that winds up switchbacks to a level and go left, north, into the trees. The native flags will soon be evident. Great place to bring bear spray too!
Expect to get your feet wet on this hike if your unfamiliar but who the heck ain’t ever been up King Creek anyway!
