Many routes are Morro Slabs about 20km north of Jasper on the Yellowhead Highway were explored many many decades ago by Hans Schwartz and others. It is a very accessible place to top rope kids or beginners and has a number of bolted anchors strewn across the top of the cliffs.
From Jasper drive north about 20km and once you pass over the bridge you will see the slabs to the SE falling into the river. Most of the routes are on the broken slab to the far climber’s right but there are some on the smoother slab directly above the river. Park in the pullout provided and gain the forest via a dirty trail. Once on top, carefully walk SW over bald slab and down around to the river where a large tree is. Pick your line.
If you continue up the trail heading south for 15 minutes further you will come to another fully bolted set of slabs with various interesting routes on them. Explore.
