The Sparrowhawk Boulders
established July 2009, G.Cornell
On the Smith-Dorrien park below Sparrowhawk/Lougheed at Spencer Creek. Hike up the left side of the creek on a good trail that winds up the ridge. After 25 minutes, you come to the bald Fontainbleau Boulder. Try it it’s fun! Hike a few minutes and before a low waterfall across the valley, you cross a high-side meadow with two small rocks. Hike up the right side(flagging) and leave the forest into the boulderfield, not 5 minutes later. Bring a spotter, pad(s), sturdy hiking boots. Beware of loose rock. Some high faces are untouched. Explore.
