Wabasso Road Boulders(Hwy 93A boulders)
info from July 2017 visit
The Wabasso Road boulders are not worth visiting if your in Jasper however if you are camping at Wabasso or one of the other campgrounds south of town, it is something to do in the evening maybe.
Drive south from Jasper and take Hwy 93A south and once you pass the junction for Marmot Basin, keep driving south about .4-.5km and find a small pullout that can accommodate about 2 cars max. Walk safely down the road and spy one of three boulders sitting about 50m into the dark woods. Each boulder is about 100m from one another on the same sight-line.
Wise to bring bug spray and bear spray and a headlamp, and of course a bouldering pad…please note in the photos below that the black boulder mat is small to give you an idea that the boulders are not that big, but, if your bored…..
Most of the short problems are about V0, or what-evs
