Camp Theatre Ghost Town
Everybody loves a ghost town, but this is just a outdoor camp theater version of it.
Fallen into disarray at some point, likely many years ago, this theatre which you can sit on the very rotten wooden benches interrupted by foliage, you can close your eyes and bring yourself back, far back, to 1978 say.
A young blonde actress with bellbottoms pretends she is a frog and tells some learning anecdote to the kids in PJs in the front row. The sun went down a bit ago but the night is warm and all the campers are laughing at the actors on stage. Your thinking about how your gonna pedal your 3-speed banana-seat-bike back to the campsite, hockey card in your spokes.
Thats this ghost town, here at Sibbald Campground.
Those staying at the campground can access through the far east end of ‘D’ Loop next to the highway. Walk off the D-Loop road and through into a turn-around where they store picnic tables and some young campers have made them into ramps. From east end of the loop take a path into the woods and shortly upon the Camp Theatre.
Be careful of discarded nails and busted wood and other remnants.
