Drive down Highway #11 along Abraham Lake and park in the ditch for Hoodoo Creek at a very large cairn. You should see very large walls on the canyon’s upper left. There are hoodoos and popular caves somewhere back up there, so say the locals. Walk up the dry creekbed. In 5 minutes get to two large beautiful boulders. Try a fun jumpstart V1 on the south overhang of the first rock to a jug. But before them at a clay shelf/meadow on the right, get onto a trail and hike into the forest to where the first cracked boulder is about 50m before the two big creek boulders just mentioned. The big, hard boulder in the creek appears untouched.
1)Jumpstart Classic(V1) jumpstart the south overhang of the south creek boulder. Next to it is the very large triangular boulder in the photo below which appears unclimbed as of 2006.
2)Chief Standing Bear(V0) first forest boulder. Jam the splitter crack. Or, try steep orange triangular west face(V2). From here follow a light trail east to meet the other rocks.
3)Last Wall of the Castle(V3) start low in middle of long wall, crank onto flake and up until you gots the need to jump off. Other eliminates but needs some cleaning, fun to explore.
4)Ornate Dome(V2) on arete, start from jug to flake then move up. Or, go up right of broken corner(V0).
5)Just Like Heaven(VB) ascend the juggy wall.
6)Didn’t Promise You a Rose Garden(V4) from a foot ledge go up and over the rail to a very tuff finish.
Would be an eerie place to encounter a bear as there are loads of berries here amongst very tricky hiking over deadfall.
Park about 1.7km south of the Rampart Hostel where a dark boulder can be seen 25m from the road. A cairn is visiblethrough an opening in the bush.
Grizzly Drivethru(VB) traverses from the right and around the arete to the corner and go up. A log-hoppin five minutes scramble up leads to a white boulder project. Climb the wall without using the tree.
